Rules

Three days, three courses, nine players. Teams change at the turn every day, so each day is two nine-hole matches. Six matches total. Lip joins Friday and Saturday.

• Two teams of four. Nine-hole match-play matches (front nine and back nine are separate matches with different teams).
• Low team score wins the hole. The match is scored as holes up/down and runs cumulatively.
• The team leading after nine holes wins the match. Each member of the winning team earns 1 point; losers earn 0.
• If the match is tied after nine holes, each player on both teams earns ½ point.

• Three teams of three. Each nine is its own match.
• Standard scramble, with one twist: In Your Pocket gives your team an optional extra (fourth) shot.
• You do not have to use the extra shot. Save it or spend it — your team's call, shot by shot.
• Set a rotation order at the start of your nine (e.g., Rob, then Mike, then Jeff). Each time you use the extra shot, it's the next player's turn in that order, rotating continuously through the nine. Example: use it off the first tee (Rob's), skip the second shot, use it on a putt (Mike's), next use is Jeff's, and so on.
• Lowest nine-hole team total wins the match. Points per member: 1st = 3, 2nd = 2, 3rd = 1. Tie for 1st → tied teams split first and second (2.5 each). Tie for 2nd → tied teams split second and third (1.5 each). All three tied → 2 each.
• Wilderness hole 5: you may use only one club from tee to green.

• After the final round, the champion is decided by a putting contest, seeded by the points standing, so anyone still has a shot at the trophy.
• The points leader gets an automatic bye to the final. The other eight play a seeded bracket; the bracket winner faces the leader.
• Every match is sudden-death match play — first to win a hole advances.
• In the final, the challenger must beat the leader by the same number of putting holes as the leader's points lead over second place at the end of golf. Example: a 3-point lead means the challenger must win the final by 3 to take the Golden Golfer.
